A Day in the Kindergarten and Nursery
The first session in the morning is free playtime. Through play the children develop their imagination and creativity. In their play young children imitate everything they see in the world around them and this is how they naturally learn.

In the morning when the children arrive
the dolls are already hungry for breakfast.

The dramatic play area is transformed into a building site
where wonderful houses are created
and high towers are built

After individual play, everyone helps to clean up.
Drawing, painting, paper cutting, clay work,
weaving and many other arts and crafts are included
in our daily program. These artistic activities
develop the children's hand-eye coordination
and their fine motor skills

Everyone gets together at circle time for movement, songs and games.
During circle time the children sing action songs and rhymes and do finger play. The songs and games change with the season and help the children to connect to the world around them. Following actions and finger play their balance, and coordination improves. The movement gives the children a sense of being alive. Circle time also works with the sense of touch. The children touch the ground and each other and learn about their boundaries. Repetition of songs and rhymes helps improve speech. Circle time gives the children a sense of well-being and confidence.

Out in the garden there is lots of room to run around. In the playhouse and the sandpit, the children are busy cooking amazing meals you can only taste with your imagination.

At the beginning of story time the teacher lights a candle and rings the singing bowl. The singing bowl comes from the Tibetan culture and makes a beautiful sound when struck.
The children hear the same story for two weeks. The repetition relaxes them and they breathe easier. Story time strengthens the children's power to listen and their concentration and memory. It encourages them to use their imagination.

Playing is hungry work!
Every day the children get a delicious and healthy lunch and snack, cooked by Jamuna, Monita and Sheema, but only with clean hands!

Then it's time to calm down, relax
and have a little afternoon nap.

In the final circle the goodbye song closes the day.
At 3:00 it's time to go home, so we say farewell until tomorrow.
